Read below link as it examines a case where a 29-year old female presented with OCD symptoms shortly before being diagnosed with a B12-deficiency.

"B12 is needed to produce neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine, and so a deficiency of B12 can cause a lack of one or both of these neurotransmitters".
